Amanda is a Los Angeles based designer who works in both theatre and film. She is a proud member of the Art Directors Guild (IATSE Local 800) and United Scenic Artists Local 829.

​The designer’s role in a play or film’s production is to help the audience understand and relate to a play on its most basic, human level. They must distill the text’s meaning down to its simplest form and present it to the audience through a visually poetic environment. The designer should force the audience to think, while also having a visceral, unconscious reaction to the production. This requires the designer to have a very personal response to the text, relating to it through associations, and transforming it into a visual metaphor for the stage or screen. My goal as a designer is to create thought provoking work that will inspire growth and resonate with my audience on the most personal, human level.​
